Counselling in the Costa del Sol
I enjoy helping my clients to heal and to find their true self. I have an empathic and non-judgemental approach - I believe in adapting the therapeutic process to my client’s needs.
I originally trained as psychologist and went on to complete a postgraduate training in psychodynamic therapeutic counselling at the University of Brighton. Alongside this I worked as a counsellor for six years at the University of Sussex where I received ongoing CBT training and practice.
I have more than a decade of experience working in multiple settings including clinics, universities, and private practice.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am a registered member of the Andalusian Psychologist Register (COPAO).
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling allows you to discuss your problems and any difficult feelings you may encounter in a safe, confidential environment.
I will encourage you to talk about what's bothering you, to help you uncover root causes and to gain insight into your particular ways of thinking. Through our sessions I will help you to reconcile yourself with your past, to more fully understand the issues that you may be experiencing, and to find more healthy ways of coping.
Counselling can help with many issues such as problems with anxiety and stress, social anxiety, low mood, loneliness, problems with intimacy, identity, issues bereavement and loss and other problems.
Counselling can give you the time and space to work through any problems, issues, or worries that you may be experiencing.
LOCATION, TIMING & COSTS
Sessions are conducted over Zoom.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually scheduled on a weekly basis to allow the best opportunity for the client/counsellor relationship to develop.
Sessions are 60 euros.
Concessionary sessions may be available for those on a lower income.
